i was reading Kahlil last night and came across this jewel:
"Only those return to Eternity
Who on earth seek out Eternity"
it is the warning Death whispers back towards the earth as he returns to the sky in the story "Two Wishes" (from the book "Tears and Laughter").

Re: warning
Mon, March 19, 2007 - 6:16 PMit was reminiscent to me of the phrase:
if you talk the talk, you gotta walk the walk
that wasn't what the story was about, per se, well....yes, it kinda was! but either way, that quote was just right at the moment. -

Re: warning
Tue, March 20, 2007 - 11:28 AMI'm re-reading his most famous book, "The Prophet" and realizing that I have lost my focus lately. I started to try and control others, rather than myself. "Walk the walk" is a good phrase. I talk, but following this path is harder than it looks, eh? -
